Little Tiger Records are proud as punch to announce the debut single by I. SOLAR, entitled Concubine, a fitting entree to 2017. But first…
PAST TENSE
I. SOLAR has risen like an agitated phoenix from the flames of Casual Sex, who ripped it up somewhat in Glasgow and beyond over a couple of tear-stained years. Trips were many and varied, including Austin, Texas (SWXW), New York, New York (CMJ), Brighton (The Great Escape), and sojourns across the UK. Singles were released via esteemed labels (We Can Still Picnic & Moshi Moshi), live radio sessions were broadcast on BBC 6Music (Marc Riley) & BBC Radio Scotland (Vic Galloway). An album was recorded that may be posthumously released at some point. However, eventually the flame burned out.
PRESENT TENSE
After a period of reflection and refraction, Samuel, Pete, & Chris regrouped with a brand new thing, a new sound and vision, which they called I. SOLAR. Songs were written and recorded at the I. SOLAR headquarters in Glasgow (Green Door Studios), the first fruits of which, Concubine, is being released by Little Tiger Records, a new label operating from Riverside Music Complex (based in Busby on the outskirts of Glasgow). Little Tiger is run by Riverside students on the Music Business HND course, under the aegis of Douglas MacIntyre (Creeping Bent Records / The Nectarine No9 / Sexual Objects), senior lecturer on the course.
A promotional video for ‘Concubine’ is here:

I. SOLAR will make their live debut (with Little Tiger label mates Fenella opening the night) at the Hug and Pint, Glasgow, on Friday 28th April.
